The thread where the home has a voice
Choose the everyday flat chat: groceries, dinner plans, news and reactions after a night out. Those exchanges describe a way of living together. A thread used only for receipts or practical announcements gives different material. Look for the place where personalities respond to each other, not just where bills pass through. The flat’s story includes more than its shopping list.
Select participants for the period you want to revisit. For a farewell, you might want the people who shared that particular home. For a housewarming, the current group will feel more natural. If former roommates also appear in the thread, check the cast before starting and talk about the keepsake with the people involved. Choose the story before choosing the file.
A keepsake rather than house rules
Michel writes portraits and nicknames, adds commentary and statistics, and brings them together in an illustrated magazine. Numbers concern the text you provide; the chronicle adds an editorial perspective. Use it to revisit familiar habits with some distance. The report is entertainment to read together, not a referee for chores or a household accounts statement. Dinner can stay dinner.
The last dinner deserves more than boxes
At a farewell meal, introduce the portraits between the memories everyone tells aloud. Share the group card in WhatsApp and let roommates keep their individual cards. The PDF can join the pictures and recipes you want to save. For a housewarming, reveal the report once people have settled in: the apartment already has its characters, even if its shelves are still waiting.
Our guide explains how to export the WhatsApp conversation. Choose Without media: only text is analysed, not living-room pictures or voice messages. Upload a .txt file or a .zip containing it, with at least 300 parseable messages. Look at the public sample first. Your own free preview then lets you see the beginning before deciding to unlock the full report.
